I was wondering because my friend said she had an American Girl Baby Doll that she was going to give me, but I'm skeptical because I'm not sure of the year that they were released. Can someone help!

I know in the Christmas 1991 Catalog that I got because it had Felicity labeled as being "new" it also has the new "our baby" series that was later renamed as the Bitty Babies. They even used to come with a different book. More like a Story book for an adult to read to a child then the hard board books of today.
Hope that helps.

She said it came with a diaper bag which kinda surprised me.
*shrugs* I don't think there are any real bitty baby websites out there.

Double checked this morning and yup... the Bitty Baby collection did once come with a diaper bag.
Scan of the collection page
Well, most of it at least. Since it's an older catalog, it's to big to completely fit on my little 8.5x14 scanner.
Hope this helps.

Yeps I remember the "Our New Baby" form the early 90's. THe only realy way to "tell" the difference is in the sleeper outfit the doll came in (it was blue and white). THe story book is actually very cute (I don't have the doll anymore...gave it to a little girl the family knew years ago, but we kept the book). The diaper bag would have been purchase seperately or as part of the collection (as shown in Chrysa1is pic)
